Soon it will be the holiday period, and we will close production on Friday of week 27. You are of course still welcome to place your order. We will gladly answer emails during this period, although with a slight delay.
Measurement tool's ends have the same shape/profile as our muntin. Note that the profile of the tool is elevated 2mm from the glass surface, to place the muntin away from the glass and create space so that water and dirt do not accumulate at each horizontal muntin. This is how your muntin will be placed and look when finished.
The measuring tool measures from the bottom of the muntin (closest to the window) in its final position 2mm above the glass. Do not use this to measure existing muntins, or anything else; it is calibrated for this purpose only.
First, check that the angle of the tape measure matches the glass stop. Press the end of the measuring tool against the edge of the glass stop. Make sure to keep it against the glass.
Pull out the tape measure and hold it against the opposite side's glass stop. Make sure to keep it against the glass when reading and that the ends of the tape measure are against the glass stop and not stuck to the rubber strip on your window.
If your window has a bottom plate, measure down to the edge of the plate, as far as you can measure, ensuring that the tape measure is against the glass. From this measurement, subtract 2mm from the height of the muntin to accommodate the steel clip set.
